Medal Success for all three Team Bath Artistic Swimming Squads at SW Combo Competition 2025

We are so very proud to report that all three of our Combo Squads did us proud at the Swim England SW Compo Competition 2025 last week in Cheltenham, with both our U12 and U15 Squads picking up Bronze medals and our U18 Squad getting a Gold medal!

Our U12 Squad: Clara, Iben, Morven, Marni, Lucy, Olivia, Liliana and Andreea

Our U15 Squad: Seren, Bonnie, Eden, Christina, Tabitha, Thea, Scarlett, Selma

Our U18 Squad: Ella, Trudy, Helena, Annie, Vicky, Wizzie, Belle, Alice

Combo - or Combination - is a team routine where up to ten swimmers perform in one continuous routine to music but during the routine there will be segments where different numbers of swimmers will perform, for example one or two swimmers may perform a breakout solo or duet within the routine.

The routines receive scores in two ways for both their technical merit and artistic impression. So our swimmers not only have to execute their athletic figures correctly and in-synch, but also show they are also excellent performers and work with each other and the music too!

Our youngest Squad competed in the U12 Division 1 category and presented a joyful and upbeat routine based on the music from Disney's 'The Princess and the Frog'. Their coach, Laura Smith, comments ' I am just so very proud of them all! An amazing result to win Bronze but especially special for this squad that has 6 of our 8 swimmers brand new to the sport this year! This is such a great boost for their confidence and shows all their hard work and the work of our whole coaching support team.'

Similarly, our U15 Division 1 Squad also has 3 of the 8 athletes who have recently joined the sport and were competing for the very first time at Cheltenham. The Squad rocked the audience with a super high engery routine that embraced the music and won them a very well deserved Bronze medal.

And finally our wonderful U18 team competed in the 13/18 Division 2 category, and brought home the Gold medal with their stunning routine set to the music from the film 'Back to the Future'.

A fantastic result for all of our three teams of athletes and very well deserved.
